Knowledge Is the Only Resource That Increases Through Use
Responsible for evaluation of curricula and study programmes. Other tasks include various kinds of evaluations, social science research, quality management in higher education, reporting, curriculum development, and strategic projects for higher education development.
Back in academia I started working in study programme/curriculum development at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences with a strong focus on quality assurance and quality development. The evaluation of curricula is at the core of my position. Regular tasks include various kinds of evaluations, social science research, quality management in higher education, reporting, curriculum development, and strategic projects for higher education development.
I took care of my second child, our daughter Mira, born in December 2021. In her second year, I was there when she learned to walk, when she started to connect with people beyond us parents, when she started talking, and I helped her start in child day-care/with her childminder. All this time I also looked after her brother in his fourth year who grew to become a caring older sibling and I supported his transition from childminder to kindergarten. And of course I kept track of household and family tasks.
I took care of my first child, our son Paul, born in September 2019. After this break I reduced my hours of employment to help with daily care work at home and helped my son start in child day-care/with his childminder in September 2021.
As a founding member I initiated and managed a co-housing/intentional community project in Hasendorf, Lower Austria. I remained in managing director position during the planning and the construction phase all the way to about a year after completion and moving in. The project has a strong focus on sustainability in its three dimensions—economic, social and environmental. Tasks included general management and overall responsibility, communication and public relations, organisation and process management, and financial and human resources management.
In a leave from academia I trained for a massage and sports therapist and worked in hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, a gym, a medical fitness studio, and with numerous private clients. I also worked with the Austrian men’s and women’s National Hockey Team and the Austrian men’s and women’s National Rowing Team.
