This project aims to develop new approaches for flexible performance warranties to support evolving BESS customer needs. The work includes battery degradation modelling and explore various options for articulating flexible warranties in contracts.
This project compares the current zonal day-ahead electricity market in Europe with a proposed nodal market design. Using inverse optimization to allocate zonal bids to nodes in the electrical system, the study models and analyzes data from the Central Western European region. The results highlight significant computational challenges in the nodal model, particularly with zonal bid allocation to nodes. Further improvements in optimization techniques and calibrating of the models are needed for obtaining realistic results.
