Spent 150 days becoming proficient on cargo and ammunition loading and handling for vessel servicing the United States Navy, and foreign Naval assets in the 2nd Fleet. Gained proficiency in Underway replenishment, including both CONREP and VERTREP, fueling operations, and bridge team resource management. Received a Tankerman Person-in-Charge qualification.
Gained proficiency in standing a navigational watch, loading both military and civilian cargo, route planning, personnel management, and basic ship handling techniques. Handled the loading and discharge of cargo in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Greece, and Jordan. Received academic honors for sea project grades as well as honors for officer evaluations.
