Leading the CRM Platform tribe (4 EMs, 25 engineers): - Owned the CRM domain powering all e-commerce features and AI agents, including APIs, integrations, and analytics, processing 300M+ daily events across orders, emails, and customer data... - Scaled the partner ecosystem to 100+ apps by leading development of Gorgias APIs and Auth systems, enabling both external partners and internal developers. - Drove delivery of core features (custom fields, AI summarization, customer timeline) adopted by 10k+ DAU. - Architected a new ingestion + storage platform (MongoDB, Kafka) that cut time-to-production for new data points from weeks to days. - Influenced an internal Python framework adopted company-wide, reducing DB query load by 30% and improving system reliability. Scaled the org: designed and rolled out a hiring process across teams, leading to 20+ successful hires.
Leading the Billing, DevRel and E-commerce teams (3 squads, 20+ engineers) - Created and grew the Billing team to own all billing logic and payment integrations, shifting to an event-driven system that improved accuracy and processed millions of daily events. - Built fraud prevention pipelines that reduced revenue leakage and automated detection of billing anomalies. - Drove partner ecosystem growth by leading the DevRel team to build APIs and an Identity Provider (SSO, OAuth2, 2FA), enabling 100+ partner apps and accelerating internal developer productivity. - Expanded core commerce capabilities by managing the E-commerce squad, delivering Shopify and other key integrations adopted across the customer base (10k+) - Delivered scalable architecture improvements (Kafka, Debezium, Outbox pattern), replacing synchronous pipelines with eventually consistent systems, improving resilience and scalability under load.
Managed up to 10 people spread across two teams: - the Ecommerce team in charge of Gorgias' native e-commerce integrations (Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce ...) - The Developer Relations team in charge of Gorgias APIs and building tools for our partner ecosystem Set up processes to better track projects progress as well as incident analysis. Helped the team to gain autonomy and worked closely day-to-day with engineers of various levels of seniority (mostly seniors). Hired and promoted engineers as required. We worked on: - Adding new features to our integrations - Adding a BigCommerce native integration with Gorgias - Improving the discoverability and usability of Gorgias APIs, enhancing our partners' integrations by providing new tools (App Store, APIs...) - Scaling a partner program and an App store to 100+ Apps - Maintaining and improving security components regarding User and Apps authentication and authorization - Scaling our data ingestion service to 10x more capacity - Reliability and stability improvements of our services for regular traffic as well as peak season traffic such as BFCM
