I recently graduated from Harvey Mudd College majoring in Engineering. I specialized in mechanical and electrical engineering while pursuing additional software engineering courses. I am looking to gain experience in a breadth of engineering fields so that I can better understand the engineering industry.
- Teach fellow engineering students and professors how to safely use the machine shop and all its equipment. - Organize and run weekly training courses that teach other proctors how to better instruct new students in the shop. - Directly responsible for managing the shop’s budget, including purchasing decisions for new materials, tools, and machines.
Researched the Optical Properties of Herbaceous Plant Roots to Safely Monitor the Rhizosphere - Programmed Monte Carlo simulation in Python simulating photons travel in plant tissue - Responsible for setting up both the lab camera and photodiode DAQ combination and coding functions for them in Vimba Python and NI-DAQmx Python respectively - Manufactured custom fiber optic cables for use in lab experiments - Wrote and presented a summary of relevant findings to faculty and research staff
- Utilized PLS-CADD to design and test transmission lines for Invenergy’s 1200 MW HVDC Grain Belt Express project - Transmission design was selected over other proposals for its superior cost and power efficiency. - Developed and implemented quality control forms to ensure construction adhered to specifications and operated smoothly
Software Engineering Intern working on Cloud Identity Orchestration - Wrote proprietary software documentation providing tutorials for potential clients and training for future engineers. - Reconfigured the cloud identity orchestrator to use Go Lang 1.20 when it was out of date, resulting in improved build speeds of 10% and increased CPU performance of 2%. - Worked alongside Dev Sec Ops to integrate State of Minnesota’s preexisting security system, Oracle Identity Cloud Service, into Strata’s proprietary software and taught management how to use the Oracle software.
