My career started in telecoms back in 2010 and it was here that my love of sales came to light. Sales to me is all about the customer. Listening to customer needs is essential and I value myself on my integrity when it comes to building a proposal right for them. In 2018 I moved into the building materials industry, and my customers became national retailers, which was a lane change from selling iPhones! I spent months obsessing over understanding the products so I could assist my customers in supporting their customers - utilising my strength of adaptability. In my first two full years at Sherwin Williams, I attained the prestigious Presidents Club award, which was an honour and helped me prove to myself that my hard work was paying off. Now I'm with British Gypsum, where in my first 8 months I've been moved from supporting merchants to the commercial and distribution team - so supporting customers all over the North West who are working on some truly astonishing projects. Here's to another 15 years of growth and supporting customers!
My main responsibility in this role is supporting the Compliance Managers. I deal with weekly complaints handling, which helps aid the rest of the team and gives visibility of high risk areas. I perform Mystery Shops on a monthly basis, to help increase the companies NPS scores, and these reports are fed back to 'Head of' level. On a weekly basis, I create a summary of the week, sending out to other areas of the business, sharing what has worked well and what can be improved and how. A more in depth monthly report is also created and sent out to external accounts too, for them to review their performance. I also support the Compliance Managers by attending external compliance visits. This gives me a great insight into how third party companies are run as well as how audits are conducted.
Creating and executing sales, making people feel welcome and tailoring a package to their specific needs. Achieving targets and keeping up to date with the cable and mobile industry. Before leaving Virgin Media, I was acting as the 'third key holder' to the store. So on days that management weren't working, I was responsible for the running of the store.
Responsibilities include serving customers and providing a good atmosphere and customer service for members and non members alike. Although i did enjoy the job, I felt that I needed to move back into the Sales field.
