• Supervising a MoFA Luxembourg-funded Women Lead in Emergency (WLiE) Project in Hatay, focusing on the Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), WASH & Shelter, and Protection sectors. • Directing multi-stakeholder and international partner network relations to enhance project execution. • Fostering and nurturing strategic partnerships with governmental institutions, international and local NGOs, and donor organizations for women empowerment agenda and policy development. • Engaging in consultations with sub-sector focal points (M&E, Protection, FSL, Research, PMO) from partner organizations and overseeing sector-relevant workshop development for the coordination of robust program implementation solutions, planning and developing strategies, and identifying new ideas and methods for women empowerment in Hatay. • Supervising budget allocation with prompt feedback and meticulous reporting. • Guiding the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) aspect for the implementation of the WLiE methodology.
• Generating community engagement plans and community participation schemes to improve subsector provision and outreach. • Ensuring the inclusion of communities and relevant stakeholders in program development and management to adapt and improve program activities accordingly. • Overseeing community inclusion procedures and accountability mechanisms to ensure high-quality programming and continual improvement of support for affected people. • Representing CARE in engagements with government authorities, donors, and NGO/INGO partners to vocalize humanitarian advocacy priorities. • Overseeing accountability checks for internal departments to sustain their effective implementation and coordination with relevant actors, securing necessary permissions/approvals, and maximizing coverage of humanitarian assistance.
Consultant for Africa Delegations (Feb 2023 – Sep 2023) • Liaised with Red Cross & Red Crescent partners for international operations for Humanitarian assistance and relief for 4 (four) Delegations in Africa: Somali, Sudan, Senegal, and South Sudan. • Generated partnerships around international operations targeting Africa and developed corporate operational engagement strategies with external partners. • Assessed regional programs and supervised relevant PMER (planning, monitoring, evaluation, and research) processes for ongoing operations. • Supervised community engagement plans of the TRC Africa Delegation personnel, successfully accounting for country-specific sensitivities within International Humanitarian Law. PMER Consultant for International Delegations (Nov 2022- Feb 2023) • Oversaw the research component of PMER for 19 external delegations of TRC across Europe, MENA, Asia & Pacific, and Africa regions. • Managed M&E data collection and analysis structuring for the Delegations; including transfer, entry, and verification, while recommending operational improvements based on data analysis. • Revised the accountability schemes of the Delegations through context-based legal assessments and considerations. • Advised on budget allocations for research, community engagement, and accountability components of the projects of Delegations.
Humanitarian Diplomacy Delegate to IFRC (Sep 2021 – Nov 2022) • Represented TRC on international platforms; enhanced the diplomatic engagements and TRC & IFRC collaboration in relevant dialogues. • Generated Turkish Red Crescent’s humanitarian diplomacy (HD) and advocacy agenda in line with international law and regulations. • Developed and planned multi-stakeholder HD projects/strategic actions from start to completion. • Formed working groups under various TRC migration programs, incorporated HD priorities into the program cycles, organised fundraising activities, and supervised operational phases according to TRC’s strategic objectives. • Directed the methodology development processes for the TRC's humanitarian advocacy program, orchestrating strategic coordination with stakeholders on diplomatic subjects for impactful outcomes. • Developed content for the promotion and dissemination of the legal limits of humanitarian policy and the basic principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement within and outside the institution. • Managed data-transfer processes to the government e-filing system for HD (KADİZ). • Advised on the dissemination of legal obligations regarding international asylum law, humanitarian law, and human rights law within TRC. Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy Focal Point • Acted as International Humanitarian Law (IHL) focal point for external liaison and communication and matters relating to internal TRC procedures. • Coordinated the IHL capacity development program; online courses and in-person trainings for I/NGO staff working in border zones in Türkiye. • Organized IHL dissemination events for cross-border operations in conflict zones of the Turkey-Syria border with ICRC (International Committee of Red Cross). • Incorporated human rights and IHL aspects into TRC regulations through international case studies and international legal commitments. • Supported IHL agenda with Human Rights and International Refugee Law discourses.
