Manage Mexico, Corporate Staffs (Human Resources, Legal, External Affairs, etc) and Venezuela audit activities for Chrysler Group LLC. Manage the Chrysler's Corporate Audit Risk Assessment Process for the establishment of the Annual Audit Plan. Responsible for managing the Chrysler de Mexico Chrysler Leadership Development program. The Mexico program is part of the overall Chrysler Leadership Development program. The program allows MBA graduates (that have demonstrated excellent leadership skills) to work in critical audit projects for the Company in all of its functional areas. The program also provides with mentor and coach assistance that provide continuous feedback to the candidate. Projects can be performed in Mexico, in the US or in other countries as required.
Main responsibility is the identification of process weaknesses that deteriorate the company’s control environment and negatively affect the achievement of strategic goals and objectives. Seen as a change agent that encourages the implementation of best practices across the organization. Manage and coordinate the planning and performance of audit related activities which include the definition of audit scope, the assignment of audit activities to internal and external staff, the generation of executive audit reports and the presentation of audit results to the highest levels of management. Other critical functions include: - Supporting Corporate Audit recovery efforts by defining strategies and leading internal and external employees during data mining efforts to identify potential recoveries, - Preparing executive Corporate Audit presentations, - Developing and supporting the annual risk assessment, - Training audit staff, - Preserving Corporate Audit’s image as a customer oriented and change enabler organization, - Assessing Sarbanes-Oxley readiness and, - Attending miscellaneous Senior Management requests. Auditing Assignments: Managed audit engagements in a variety of domestic and international locations. Exposed to most of the organization’s processes (from Finance and Treasury to Manufacturing and Purchasing, among others).
