As the Manager of Offset and Industrial Participation at HENSOLDT, I lead the development and execution of strategic Offset & Industrial Participation programs that align with national policies and our broader business objectives. My role sits at the intersection of industry, government, and innovation—working to translate complex regulatory frameworks into sustainable, high-impact industrial initiatives. I’m responsible for managing end-to-end offset strategies in the MENA region - from initial assessment and negotiation through to implementation and compliance. This includes structuring industrial participation projects such as technology transfer, SME development, and joint ventures, all while fostering local economic growth and contributing to national capability development. I regularly engage with government stakeholders, local and international partners, and internal cross-functional teams (including business development, legal, finance, and engineering) to ensure our offset commitments not only meet regulatory requirements but also support long-term business value. Working with Tawazun, the local offset authority to bring the offset concepts to fruition. Development of the IC and Offset strategies to present, contract and deliver successful projects in the UAE. Management of the offset concepts and projects through to execution and completion. Execute and report on the progress of the project to the management team and external stakeholders. Coordinate the relevant teams to deliver the project as per the schedule. Coordinate and manage all Budgeting, EVM, Technical Planning & Scheduling, Contract Management, Communication Management, Relationship Management & Risk Management for internal and external stakeholders. Liaise with the relevant functional departments (internal & external) to ensure successful delivery of the project and offset credits.
• Project Managed the Airbus A350XWB IBF transfer of work package from Germany to the UAE. • Reported the progress of the project IAW the Project Management processes and procedures to all stakeholders and the end user. • Managed and tracked the budget in accordance with the Business Case. • Coordinated the IPT consisting of Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers & Supply Chain experts to deliver the work package transfer. • Performed Technical Planning & Scheduling. • Performed Contract Management, Communication Management, Relationship Management & Risk Management. • Developed a resource plan to be used for recruiting & training Staff. • Liaised with the relevant Functional Departments to ensure successful delivery of the work transfer.
Direct and control all functions and activities associated with Serial production and delivery requirements while also supporting and coordinating all Part 21 & part 145 activities to meet the contractual lead times. Act as the main interface with the customer for any program related issues or modifications. Formulate and communicate reports regularly on the contractual program execution status to the VP and company’s leadership. Escalate to the VP of Programs any major issues or risks on the production phase program (scope, budget or schedule). Provide technical correspondence to the product integrated team lead for all matters related to the production program execution; submits the Contractual Monthly Program Review report based on the information received from the Product Integrated Team. Prepare the weekly program report and summarize contractual program key information and circulate to the company’s leadership on a weekly basis. Attends all contractual program working meetings, prepares and timely circulates meeting minutes. Liaise with production to monitor performance in relation to delivery configuration, time and cost, resource availability and prioritization, risk and issue management. Manage the logistics for all outbound deliveries to optimize the shipping and reduce air freight for all deliveries. Interact with the procurement team for all program related issues and ensure issues are communicated where applicable to all stakeholders upon escalation. Key Accomplishments: The main interface for all program issues for customer complaints, management of concessions and quality and interact with Airbus for concession reduction and quality improvements. Key contributor for contractual program (product changes, rate changes), processes and translate the customer input into internal information across all functions in accordance with the approved schedules. Planned, established and implemented the Planning/Scheduling portion of Integrated Project Control System. As well as supported Programme Manager in contingency and change order management. Supported to management of functional team’s action/activities closure that supports the project/program major milestones & deliverables (Quality, Engineering, Configuration Control, Procurement, Logistics, and Production).
Strategically positioned as a Mechanical Engineer for a FUSION and Inter Trade Ireland Programme to research and manage new business opportunities and managed the project development of ETTS. Spearheaded the efficient and optimum running of the retreading technology. Maintained all equipment ensuring efficiencies update with tolerance levels, conduct fault analysis on any issues that arise. Crafted feasibility study and business plan for Market research proposed business idea- Technical and critical analysis, conducted research and development meetings with government bodies to secure funding. Business development: Cultivated sustainable relationships with customer and with suppliers to research market needs and requirements, stock control, purchases and negotiating with suppliers. Budgeting: Forecasted, Actual vs Planned, variance, correction, rolling budgets, Research and procurement of most suitable and competitive machinery Presentations on the progress of the project to Directors Ad Hoc projects: Research on turbines and planning for a 7 Turbine (3MW) Wind Farm totalling 21MW Research on a 250kW Single Turbine under the 4 ROC’s planning requirements (UK) Achievements: Streamlined successful implementation of production tracking system for tyres and stocks. Drafted and implemented a QA and QC system approved by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) for Eco Tyre Tread Solutions (ETTS).
