Hi, I’m Maureen Fitzgerald-Hopkins! My history of success is directly related to my ability to oversee completion of multiple major transformation projects from inception to completion within timely and budgetary constraints as well as ensuring delivery of exceptional cost-efficient services. I’m an expert in NHS performance and accountability frameworks along with heading procurement of various services along with leading diverse teams. I manage client relationships and partnership opportunities, all while helping interacting with all levels of management and major stakeholders. While others take pride in meeting all standards set before them, my passion is for delivering service that goes beyond organizational expectations, creating a win-win scenario for everyone involved
I provide strategic clinical leadership and quality oversight on a broad range of portfolios for the system including Children and Young People, Maternity and Professional Leadership. I also head the implementation of multiple key processes including the establishment of an ICS Children, Young People and Maternity System Board. Additionally, I support the Chief Nurse for the system-wide professional development for Nurses and Midwives.
I oversaw the execution of multiple key processes, including redesigning pathways for BAME and vulnerable women to take forward the North East London (NEL) Maternity and Neonatal Demand and Capacity Review March 2020. I co-ordinated with key stakeholders to co-structure information for women to aid support choice along with strategically reviewing offer of virtual clinics.
I efficiently managed multiple key functions, including planning, developing, and delivering against programme deliverables within Long Term plan through execution of maternity programme ‘Better Birth’s across east London, whilst, ensuring future operational compliance. I directed maternity move within COVID-19 recovery phase through implementation of robust plan in collaboration with maternity providers across East London. I ensured fulfilment of prioritised relevant tasks by flexing programme across tight timeframes. I thoroughly reviewed and initiated workforce strategy with key focus on enhancement of multiple key activities, including staff recruitment, retention, and forward planning.
I headed implementation of case development and project management functions of an antenatal service redesign whilst, efficiently managing interim arrangements and consultation across general practices. I supported development of maternity commissioning intentions for Tower Hamlets CCG. I directed and ensured inclusion of personal health budgets within strategic execution under SEND agenda by gaining robust knowledge of principles of personalisation agenda.
