Representing the Dutch Embassy in high-level meetings, events, and diplomatic engagements, maintaining relationships with local and international partners. Oversee embassy operations, and ensure the implementation of strategic goals, policies, and programs. Provide analysis and advice on political, economic, and social developments, supporting the ambassador and acting as Chargé d’Affaires when required.
Heading the Economic Department at the Dutch Embassy with a broad portfolio of economic and climate relevant related responsibilities in Tanzania, Madagascar and Mauritius. This covers e.g. supporting (Dutch) companies, NGOs and knowlegde institutions, monitoring and reporting on relevant (macro) economic developments, and to support enhancing Tanzania’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Serving as the Ministry’s lead on Dutch policy towards Angola and South Africa by e.g. providing periodic strategic reporting on local and regional trends and their implications and opportunities for the Netherlands, coordination of high level incoming and outgoing visits, and development and monitoring of multi annual bilateral strategies. Short assignments at the Dutch diplomatic missions in Zimbabwe as acting Deputy HoM and in Mali assessing and draw lessons on the effectiveness of the Dutch 3D approach on Defence, Development and Diplomacy.

Assignment at DG Trade, department on sustainable development. Took part in e.g. international negotiations on global climate, CSR, labour and human rights commitments within the framework of Trade and Sustainable Development chapters of EU Trade Agreements with several EU partners, such as Japan, the US and Morocco.
