"If it was easy, someone else would have done it." I am a Sticky Problem Solver—a specialistic generalist who thrives where Finance, Risk, and Compliance meet complex human dynamics. My career is built on the belief that while theory provides a map, the real work happens "between the lines" where people and systems intersect. In 2021 my wife and I have taken the leap as an entrepreneur and director to bridge the gap between European expertise and the massive potential of East Africa. My focus is on creating and seizing opportunities for international markets, moving beyond traditional boundaries to build sustainable business models that benefit many continents. My Overarching Driver: Growing Talent & Creating Chances My mission is to unlock potential. I believe that consistency and self-love benefit the community hugely—starting locally within ourselves and our families, and radiating outward into a global context. While I am dedicated to creating opportunities, I operate on the principle that everybody needs to breathe by himself—some things you simply have to do yourself to truly grow. What I Do Together with my loving wife, Mieke, I lead a portfolio of initiatives focused on professional excellence, recruitment, and social impact: 1) NCBS (ncbs.io): A training center training and deploying professionals from Uganda for local and international markets in IT, Accounting, and Business Development. Create jobs where umeployment is high and support by staffing the aging European market. 2) BringLight (bringlight.nl): Driving international impact through sustainable support structures, training, and fundraising to empower local communities. Support Others in Education, Business/ Entrepreneurship and Community. 3) MvdW in Business (mvdwinbusiness.nl): I provide strategic, "hands-on" support in Finance, Risk Management, Compliance, and Organization. Additionally, I serve as a Recruitment and Deployment partner, acting as the marketing and sales bridge to connect international talent with International partners. Personal Statement For us, the combination of Servant Leadership and Entrepreneurship is key. The foundations are laid, and we are now ready to scale. Meeting new people and finding new partners is essential for our growth in the coming years; we look forward to growing with the support of many others.
