Lead deployment of new ME set-up with 3D Experience solution as part of the Product Life Cycle (PLM) One Platform journey. Lead or contribute to projects as part of the ME Work Preparation & Execution Process-Methods-Tools Roadmap. Contribute to Work Preparation Excellence journey supporting our Production System maturity objectives, the deployment of our Preparation and Execution System and the ramp-up of our key Programs. Develop ME competences, knowledge & community of practice. Provide ME expertise to the Plants & FALs to support.
Manufacturing team and project leader for digitalisation project across Europe.
- Contribution to innovation roadmaps by prospective and identification of new promising technologies (within and beyond Space industry). - Connection with Airbus D&S and Airbus Group innovation departments (AGI, IdLabs, Protospace…): prospective, involvement on joined initiatives, communication… - Connection with institutions driving innovation projects in the perimeter of Space industry, more specifically integration and tests (CNES, ESA…) - Work packages management for new technologies and/or concepts pre-developments (TRL4 to 6) - Project management (budget, schedule, milestones, risks…) with the support of internal and external resources. - Communication within and outside AIT community on results - On some specific topics, extended support to industrialisation and local operational deployment (TRL6 to 9) - Specific support to Digital M-AIT project with a “full digital” objective (extended DMU usage, smart tools developments…)
Managing of a team of up to 20 people. The main activities are: Creation and release of Bill of material and assembly drawings for Telecom Payloads and Equipment, customer interface to achieve targets on time, on quality and on cost delegated work packages for providing bill of material and assembly drawings to AIT and Manufacturing. Maintain resource planning and management in line with forward load. Build the team in order to maintain and develop the technical skills required to maintain a state of art on bill of material for both Payload and Equipment. Ensure the validation and implementation of tools, standards and processes to improve performance and productivity. Take into account major tool changes and evolutions. Define and analyse metrics which aim to demonstrate positive trends and take corrective actions as necessary. Benchmark team activities (tools and processes) against market evolution. Prepare technical planning and cost commitments through work packages in response to projects group requests. Commit on work packages EACs and schedule, run EAC update exercise and when needed propose corrective actions. Increase and retain technical knowledge through the recording of best practices and lessons learned. Perform all actions related to management & development of the team (talent review, training plan and appraisals)
Responsible for the design of payloads, mechanically speaking, my main tasks were the management of a team of 5-6 people working with me to make the integration task easier, logic and to also make sure that it will work. When all the equipments have been chosen by the project team, we, as mechanical engineer, are installing the equipments on the different floors and panels constituting the spacecraft communication module. These equipments can not be installed randomly in the payload because of their functional temperature range, electrical and vibration constraints. We then have to interconnect them with wave-guides or coaxial cables depending on the wave length. When the design and interconnection is done, the bill of material is build, and the team is performing the installation drawings for the integration team.
Implementation of the Building Management System for the CIX (Cork Internet eXchange) data centre being built. Making sure all devices from air conditioning to network activity are all reported directly to the NOC (Network Operation Centre) and the team alerted in case of emergency.
