My scope was extended to cover as well systems used in R&D community to integrate, standardize and streamline them. Subject Matter Expert for AI projects related to these systems.
I extended my role to cover the full tendering and engineering program (CAD, PLM, configurator), where I am working closely with our IT team to put in place interfaces between the different bricks of our core model tools (incl. CRM and ERP). Hence generating value and efficiency for our operational people. Moving forward, we have started to analyse how to put AI on our tool landscape and how to exploit the data we have at our hand…
Part of the product line strategy, I drove the deployment of a configurator across our several manufacturing sites around the world. I also restructured the tendering and engineering processes as well as the data to maximize efficiency. The main challenge was the change management and coaching different people from different countries to embrace these changes.
I arrived in our site in Suzhou to develop the export activity of the site. Working with the local team, we grew together in reaching common understanding of technical and contractual expectations of our export customers. Today, the export business became the main market for this factory. Then I overtook the site configurator management.
