I am an experienced Travel Technician at IKM Karsten Moholt, specializing in the repair and maintenance of electric motors and generators. My work combines over three decades of hands-on mechanical experience with a lifelong passion for technology, innovation, and high-quality service. My career began in 1987 as a Sailor and Machinist at VEB Binnenreederei, where I learned the fundamentals of maintaining engines, generators, and pumps — building a strong technical foundation that has guided me ever since. From 1993 to 2000, I completed my apprenticeship at BMW in Berlin and earned a Bachelor of Science in Motorcycle Technology. I went on to hold several leadership roles at BMW, including Service Advisor, Service Manager, and Workshop Manager in the motorcycle department. My responsibilities included daily operations, personnel management, budgeting, and process optimization, and I also had the privilege of working as a test rider for BMW motorcycles. Between 2021 and 2024, I worked at Archer Rental as a Mechanic for Drilling Equipment, focusing on air- and hydraulically-controlled power frames, BX/BXS elevators, and PS 21/30 systems. I also managed projects involving Scorpion Tongs, torque wrenches, and Starracker (pipe handlers). Earlier in my career, at GE Oil & Gas, I gained valuable experience in the service and testing of subsea control modules, choke modules, and production trees, including high-pressure testing with gas, water, and oil. Today, at IKM Karsten Moholt, I continue to apply and expand this broad expertise — working on-site, solving complex technical challenges, and delivering reliable, efficient, and customer-focused service. Technology and innovation continue to inspire me, and I take pride in maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. All my certificates and diplomas are recognized in Norway by the Directorate for Higher Education.
