About

Matthias Scholz is a senior research scientist in bioinformatics with several years of experience in analyzing biomedical and environmental data. He developed new computational tools to investigate metagenomics sequencing data at strain-level resolution. He is studying the spread and evolution of bacteria such as the Wolbachia infection in insects. And he is especially focused on exploring how food and nutrition can shape our gut microbes to improve human health. http://www.matthias-scholz.de/ https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1414-5924 https://twitter.com/panphlan
