Cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) sydrome represents one of the most pressing challenges in modern healthcare, affecting nearly 90% of adults in the U.S. Despite advances in managing obesity, diabetes and hypertension, prevention of cardiovascular disease has plateaued. A key limitation lies not in the lack of clinical knowledge, but in its insufficient translation into patient understanding, risk perception, and sustained action. As a result, CKM disease often progresses silently, while existing digital tools fail to convert complex EHR and wearable data into actionable, patient-centered guidance that builds health literacy and long-term engagement. My research addresses this gap by developing and evaluating an explainable, guideline-aligned conversational AI system designed to support personalized prevention and self-management. The system integrates FHIR-based clinical time-series data to generate interpretable, personalized feedback and smart nudges through a conversational interface. By combining clinical insight, patient communication data, and explainable AI methods, the project aims to improve health literacy, patient activation and early intervention in CKM disease progression.

  • Working Student - Clinical Project Managment at Brainlab
    Sep 2023 - Dec 2025 · 2 yrs 4 mos

At Brainlab, global leader in digital surgery with an ecosystem deployed in 6,300+ hospitals across 120 countries, I supported the management of 90+ international clinical trials and significantly contributed to the market certification of two newly developed medical devices. My work spanned strategic analyses, contract structuring, hospital site selection, and KPI-driven study management, providing hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of clinical research and regulatory approval. Working within a company that has shaped healthcare technology for over 30 years, gave me deep insight into how innovative MedTech solutions are translated into approved, scalable products used in real-world clinical settings.

  • Observership - Functional Neurosurgery at Stanford University
    Aug 2025 - Sep 2025 · 2 mos

During this 1:1 mentoring with Prof. Buch, I gained advanced insights into MedTech-based medical practices & research in functional neurosurgery, focusing on technical implementations for diseases such as Parkinson’s and Epilepsy, including Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), Focused Ultrasound, and Responsive Neurostimulation (RNS). Furthermore working in the OR alongside neurosurgeons like Prof. Lim and Prof. Steinberg further enhanced my understanding of clinical research, surgical techniques, and cutting-edge medical practices.
