Matthias Chin is a recognized leader and innovator in AI Security, and the Founder & CEO of CloudsineAI, a pioneering startup protecting enterprises and governments from emerging GenAI threats. With over two decades of cybersecurity expertise, Matthias is known for building advanced cybersecurity systems across government, healthcare, and financial sectors. He previously founded Banff Cyber and WebOrion, securing modern websites from defacement attacks (with two awarded patents), and co-founded Blockcyber and AI Security Quarter under the Div0 community. Matthias holds an Honours Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, is a Certified Internet Expert (CCIE), and holds multiple cybersecurity credentials (AWS, CISSP, GWAPT, GCFA, GCIH). He is also a trained AI deep learning specialist from deeplearning.ai. As a public speaker at Black Hat Asia’s inaugural AI Summit, national technical advisor for LLM cybersecurity practices, and industry advisor to SUTD and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Matthias is shaping the future of AI security in Southeast Asia and beyond.
Matthias is the Founder and CEO of CloudsineAI (formerly Banff Cyber), a Singapore-based cybersecurity company with a vision to build the security stack for the AI era. Since 2012, CloudsineAI has evolved alongside the technology landscape — protecting enterprises across three frontiers: web presence and integrity, GenAI applications, and autonomous AI agents. Recognised as a company at the forefront of AI security, Matthias represents CloudsineAI in the prestigious Cyberboost Catalyst 2024 programme — a joint initiative by Plexal (UK) and TIG Centre (SG), supported by the Cybersecurity Agency of Singapore and the National University of Singapore.
