I love construction. I love that every project is different. Throughout my career I have benefited to have made my way up step by step from the basics. I decided to take an offer to be part of a trainee program for university graduates when I started to work in HOCHTIEF right after finishing my International Business Studies. After getting selected to be part of a program to develop future managers within the group I became the youngest Branch Manager within the group ever at that time. I was amazed to be part of an airport project, high-rise buildings, renovation of luxury hotels, residential buildings, hospitals and much more. After running a daughter company of the HOCHTIEF group in the Middle East I decided that I don’t have enough experience in Mega Projects and when I got offered a Commercial Director position on a massive infrastructure project I had to go for it. Leading a big team, and being part of a JV, reporting to a board I learned tremendously fast. After a while I was offered to lead a company as a Commercial Director within Dutch group. Given the fact that my family was enjoying life in the Middle East I decided to leave HOCHTIEF, a company that I enjoyed working for more than 11 years. In Strukton I became a board member for infrastructure works with a local contractor and was selected to lead the company on my own in 2019. I successfully scaled up the business. - I put collaboration first. At all times. - I excel to diversify the business. - I restructured. - I focused on the client. - I tried to improve; every day. I learned again. In 2021 I decided with my wife that it was time to open a new chapter in our life. We moved back to Europe into a 100 year old house that we had bought 2012, renovated from distance but never lived in. We finished works in it. I went surfing somewhat, an amazing hobby. In 2022 I started a position with BAUER Spezialtiefbau, the world-leading engineering company in special foundation works. We run projects all over the planet, focusing on tailor made solutions for our clients. We operate on all the world's continents, having projects from Australia to Papua New Guinea across all of the Middle East to North America. I find solutions on Major International Projects. I assess and develop expansion strategies into new markets, assess commercial topics and manage projects from the very early pre-bidding phase to execution of the works. I love my job.
