Global leadership of Indirect Procurement at Ericsson including Professional Services, Real Estate & Facilities Management, HR Services, Marcomms, Finance Services, Management Consultancy, Travel and Legal Services. Via a transformation project, I have raised annual cost savings from 1% to 7.5% averaged over all spend. In this position I am also leading an initiative to leverage Agentic AI, AI augmentation, Digital contract Management and Autonomous Tailspend solutions to radically transform Procurement workflows across Ericsson.

Accountable for Supply Assurance and annual P&L savings of $400 Million/year plus Working Capital Improvement of $150 Million/year on an annual global Raw Materials & Utilities/Energy spend of $7 Billion/year, via a team of 120 Procurement professionals supported by a global matrix of service centres. Leadership of all category Sustainability initiatives including the 100% Renewable Electricity by 2025 program . Leadership of 270 Agronomists & Researchers in the Global Agricultural Development program covering 30,000 growers worldwide and over 3 million tes/year of own originated crops. Developed a novel, tech-enabled integrated Ecosystem approach to Energy ‘Prosuming’. Designed and rolled out an improvement to the ABInBev Global Procurement Operating Model, enabling a lean, matrixed approach to Global Sourcing & Procurement Operations. Implemented a focused SRM program, enabling OTIF & other Supply KPI optimisation as well as substantial ‘outside-in’ Supplier-led Product and Process innovation. Consistently achieved highest team engagement scores in global Procurement.
Accountable for Supply Assurance and annual P&L savings of $150 Million/year plus Working Capital Improvement of $80 Million/year on an annual Procurement spend of $3 Billion/year, across 13 African countries. Concluded and anchored an end-to-end Procurement transformation across all markets to bring Africa in to line with the best practice Global Procurement Operating Model, achieving 100% spend under management. As a Member of the Africa zone Management team, worked closely with Sales & Marketing on new product development, leveraging supplier innovation capabilities via SRM programs.
Built a best-in-class, integrated global Indirect Procurement function for SABMiller from scratch, based in Zug, CH. This enabled the company to leverage scale and skill across all Indirect categories (Capex & MRO; Sales & Marketing, Logistics, IT, Travel & Office services etc.) delivering $100 Million/year of savings and $50 Million/year in Working Capital improvement. Subsequently rolled out a new, global Source-to-Pay operating model, including ‘Buy-Sell’, transforming Procurement at SABMiller, raising performance to World Class levels.
Led the design and implementation of an Indirect Procurement transformation and integration initiative, including roll-out of a new ERP system and back-office out-sourcing. Subsequently led the new organization delivering €50 Million/year on €1.2 billion/year of spend.
Responsible for management and continuous improvement of Safety, Quality, Output, Costs and Assets at the confectionary production site at Stupino ($350M sales from 100kt/yr with $250M fixed assets). Leadership, motivation and development of ca. 500 permanent employees and 500 temporary employees via a management team. Recruitment and development of management. Member of Business activity management team driving new business and innovation. Preparation of site strategic development plans; commissioning and operation of new production lines (typical investment rate at ca. $30M/year). Implementation of HACCP & ISO9000 certification of all lines and Lean manufacturing techniques. Ownership of site external relations and legal compliance of all site operations (including safety, health & environment).
