I'm Matthew Gordon, a lawyer, writer and mediator. I've drafted labour arbitration submissions, civil pleadings, and appellate materials of both trial and tribunal decisions. I'm the editor of the Ontario Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution newsletter for the second consecutive year. I have also served on multiple non-profit boards. When I'm not practising law, I'm writing and editing novels. I've written over 100 book reviews for my blog, Matthew Gordon Books, which is currently in hibernation but all the reviews are still available to read free of charge. I have my own website by that same name where you can find my published short stories, including a horror story set in 1920s Toronto. I make my own homemade hot sauce, the only one I know based on bird's eye chili peppers. Home canning is a long-standing tradition in my family, going at least as far back as my grandmother's childhood in interwar Poland. I've run the RBC Race for the Kids every year since 2016, raising money to support youth mental health at Sunnybrook Hospital.
