Formerly employed at Elementary as Lead Mechanical Engineer, tasked with all sustaining engineering documentation, R&D, deployment, fabrication, and design. Worked at Haas Automation as an Associate Mechanical Engineer, assigned to the Compact Mill and Chucker Lathe line, responsible for rolling out design updates, testing functionality of new options, evaluating secondary sources from LCC, and prototyping. Graduated in 2019 with a Mechanical Engineering degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. With my concentration being in manufacturing, I have a well-rounded understanding of both the abilities and limitations of current production techniques. While at Cal Poly, I was a volunteer at the Innovation Sandbox, an on-campus resource for ideation and prototyping, designed to remove the stigma associated with larger machine shops and services, which also provided the chance to use cutting-edge technology. As a volunteer, I helped with a multitude of senior projects, advising other students on the capabilities of 3D printing, as well as servicing the machines. In my final year at school, I was appointed Student Director, and led an initiative to include students that had been under-represented in the space, boosting female, non-white, and non-engineer volunteer numbers to a new high. Participated in Cal Poly's ASME student chapter, first becoming an event coordinator, then President of the organization. Although our club suffered from a lack of a local ASME Senior Section, and therefore less attention from the national organization, we managed to provide networking opportunities for the student body, increase attendance at university mechanical engineering events, and host industry tours of exclusive locations such as the Hoover Dam, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Tesla's Gigafactory.
