Assist the plant in day-to-day operation when the Maintenance Manager is out. Works with the Maintenance Manager on Plan development, and implementation of new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials. Develops and coordinates the implementation of Maintenance Pillar and supporting SAP technology, through the management staff to improve equipment reliability, predictive and preventive maintenance, and workforce effectiveness. Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff, prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds in budget. Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards. Assists director in project management, helps maintain project goals and direction, works on the development of capital project budgets.
