My role at Los Alamos National Laboratory encompasses rigorous emergency preparedness planning. Passionate about firefighting and wild land firefighting in the land of enchantment, Santa Fe County. Bachelors of Science at the University of North Texas, Emergency Administration and Planning with a minor in Geography.
Support emergency preparedness activities and emergency response training included with daily operations - Presented to water utility personnel on emergency management related topics (e.x. Emergency Action Plans and Building Evacuation Plans) to reduce injuries during unforeseen events. - Used data driven insights to help identify patterns of potential incidents at critical infrastructure such as water/wastewater/desalination utility sites - Located installation points for Assembly Areas signs and Areas of Refuge with consideration to building proximity and ease of access - Monitored access control systems and assisted with badge reading reports - Assisted with the development of an Emergency Response Organization Plan for the water utility and its yearly updates as required per AWWA. All hazards approach that mitigated from natural, physical, cyber threats and assisted with a unified organized response in the event of an emergency.
Sorted, scanned into database, loaded and unloaded incoming/outgoing shipments of 7,000 - 20,000 packages daily amongst crewmembers in a distribution system.
