Currently working within Merseyside Sports Partnership as Sport Welfare Officer as part of a wider network of Welfare Officers across the country. I enjoy pushing boundaries and innovating within spaces to improve service and experience for players, coaches, parents and other stakeholders. Also volunteering as Assistant Coach for Great Britain Baseball U18 National team. Previous experience as Operations Manager for GB Baseball, also working within policing & research analysis. Long history of coaching within sport across the UK including a proven track record of developing youth players into not only successful Baseball players but also successful people. Supporting high performance athletes between the ages of 16 & 18 to reach their goals & potential. Coaching an understanding of the different aspects of the game of Baseball, including fielding, hitting, pitching, catching and the mental side of the game.
Providing elite level coaching to Under-18 players, as part of the National Teams programme. My role was First Base Coach & assisting with Infield specifically to focus on improving the team's ability on defence. I also had a combined role as Operations Manager, ensuring that the logistics of the team were in place during travel as an example this meant organising: Flights, Accommodation, Insurance, Luggage, Food & Drink and more where needed. Within this work I had a focus on ensuring the experience for each player/parent was consider at every stage, that way we could ensure a positive experience.
Working across Merseyside within a national Network of Sports Welfare Officers to assist local clubs along with national governing bodies to help work towards changing the culture around safeguarding children and adults in Sport.
