Matthew (Matt) Lewis is an Arizona native. He was born in Mesa, Ariz. and raised in the greater Phoenix-area. Now living in the City of Chandler (also known as the East Valley of Phoenix), Lewis has lived and worked in Chandler for more than three decades. He is currently employed by Intel Corporation as a Manufacturing Technician within the Assembly and Test Technology Development (or ATTD) division. Lewis started this role in early 2022. Prior to this role, he’s served in various capacities at Intel, ever since the Fall of 2017. These days, when Lewis isn’t working, he volunteers with the I Rise Foundation of Chandler; and serves as Vice President of Media Relations for the organization as a whole, while also assisting with a youth robotics club and S.T.E.M. programming. The science, technology, engineering and math (or S.T.E.M.) programming at I Rise includes the FIRST Lego League Challenge and various other competitions, tournaments and scrimmages for other types of robotics missions.

Managed a dry cleaning store.
Helped Intel's Semiconductor Wafer Proudction Super Site in Arizona (Ocotillo Campus) with their special LINK project. The LINK combined Fabrication Plants across campus. We were helping with the automation process by manual loading and unloading FOUPs/FOOPs on processing tools. I would later transfer to a Dielectric Build Shop in the Sub-Fab. I also worked with a parts assembly, ordering and cleaning crew.
Served on the board of a nonprofit organization that served Title 1 Schools (or underserved) youth in the community of Chandler, Ariz. I was involved with the FIRST Lego League Robotics program, the SeaPerch Underwater Robotics program, the free youth soccer league and more programming. I also helped organize and run a Cinco de Mayo celebration sponsored by the City of Chandler (and photographed by a New York Times freelancer for a news story).
