I am currently working on a store project replacing all network equipment over 600 sites across the UK and Europe, this also includes replacing part of the IT infrastructure and back bone to the network. Also fitting in faults and other remedial works across a whole range of projects.
I work as a Stage two Engineer for Hyperoptic's Installatio department who install the Structured Cabling in Buildings holding 50+ dwellings for Broadband Services supplying speeds of up to 1 Gig on Various sites in and all around the UK. The sites are allocated with a strict budget and time allocation and I Lead a team of Engineers who complete the Installation from start to finish based on a Surveyed Proposal. I have worked for Hyperoptic since May 2015 My work involves the Installation of broadband Services to both private and retail properties. Duties are: # The mounting of Comms cabinets. # The Installation of Fibre optic cable. # The Installation,Termination and testing of Copper Cat 5e cable. # The installation of RJ45 Faceplates and Routers within appartments. # The installation of access Hatches and containment. # Firestopping. # The setting up of both Multi mode and Single Mode Fibre Trays. # The fitting of Network Switches and Battery Backups. # The installation of both Copper and Fibre patching. # Attending various Data exchanges and patching sites to make live. # Fault Finding and repairs.
