I work as an HR Outsourcing Account Executive on the District Manager West team for the worldwide leader in Human Capital Management, ADP. KPIs include 60+ prospecting calls and emails daily, identifying top accounts in the Denver Metro Area and meeting in person with business leaders to consult on all things HR. My job as a DM is to work strategically with companies to identify and eliminate administrative burdens by implementing our innovative ADP Payroll, compensation, benefits, and HR solutions. After my time in the Acquisition role, I transitioned to our Value Added Sales Team to help further partner with our existing customers. The role required conducting monthly to quarterly business reviews, identifying upsell opportunities where Zoom can positively impact their business, and managing complex sales campaigns. This role also carried a much higher quota compared to the Acquisition role, which I exceeded quarter over quarter. Success in this role required deep knowledge of the customers’ business goals, both short and long term. This was accomplished with my relationship building skills and understanding of small business challenges.
During my first 5 years at Zoom, I was apart of the SMB Acquisition Team. I worked directly with companies under 250 employees in all industries. In the beginning of the role, I was asked to help field inbound leads and hunt down new companies. As the role evolved, I was asked to engage with key decision makers at companies to show the value of Zoom as a UCaaS solution. I maintained high levels of activity through emails, sequences, and direct phones calls to ultimately land a meeting over Zoom with the prospect company. With quotas ranging from $10k MRR to $14k MRR, I was consistent in hitting quota and even won a spot in Zoom's 2018 Presidents Club. Also, in the role I have improved my skills and understanding of Salesforce and its integrated solutions like Outreach and Pardot.
During my time in SDR, I performed multiple tasks which included: inbounding phone calls, outbounding campaigns, and inbounding chat. During my outbound roles I called on trialers, marketing generated content leads, and growth opportunities. My goals included making a minimum of 80 to 100 calls a day, while passing over 2 or more opportunities to sales makers. I also worked on specific test campaigns to help upper management make decisions on how they would market new products.
I worked with a Majors Team of 6 sales representatives to fuel the pipeline. I was tasked to call into accounts and create email campaigns to generate opportunities. I worked mostly in Salesforce and Tout-app to email and track progress. Working closely with this team showed me a much different side of the sales cycle and gave me a great perspective of both transactional business and deals that required nurturing.
