Was managing all extrusion coatings and rewind slitting operations for the past year. In that time reduced changeover times by 10%, reduced process waste from 6.9% to 5.99%, increased utilization by 5%. Created and implemented lean techniques (5s, production boards, tracking methods). Developed operational procedures that reduced startup and shutdown times by 33%. Made improvements on the machines that significantly improved quality and reduced downtime. Because of significant growth and improvements I was promoted to manage all coating operations. I currently manage two silicone coating machines both on continuos shift schedules. Since June of 2013 I have increased utilization by 13.3%, reduced net rejects, increased through Put from 5-6 mil square meters to 8 mil square meters a month, reduced net claims % from .8% to 0%. Also worked to increase process speeds and new grades of silicone processing.
Direct all facets of the conveyor belt building process before the curing and final inspections. Lead a team of 30 associates in operating all functions of 4 large extruder machines (calendar) that operate off both extrusion and mill rubber operations.
