Commercial plumbing, residential plumbing, light industrial plumbing.
Installing and maintaining plumbing systems. Read blueprints and drawings to determine exact specifications and where plumbing system will be installed. Determine water supply networks and waste drainage systems. Install systems used to transport water, waste, gases, or liquids. Ensure legislation and policies are met and that systems are up to code. Ensure systems meet all standards of building codes and safety. Residential: New home construction and up to whole home remodeling. Commercial: New construction, high-rise remodel, restaurants, tenant finishes, and white boxes. Prepare written work cost estimates and negotiate contracts. Determine all materials needed for proper installation, including type and size of pipe. Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment. Assemble and install valves and fittings. Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment . Install other plumbing equipment, such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, shower valves, appliances, and trim. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle Pressurize systems to inspect system for any leaks. Test pipe systems and fix leaks. Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs, to establish the sequence of pipe installations, and to plan installation around obstructions such as electrical wiring. Perform scheduled maintenance. Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and grade. Keep records of assignments and produce detailed work reports.

Operation Noble Eagle October 2001-2002: I provided compound perimeter security after 9/11 at an ammunition plant. I earned an Army Achievement Medal for services rendered on this tour. Operation Iraqi Freedom March 2003-2004: While on a one year tour of duty in Iraq, I spent my time training Iraqi police, patrolling the streets of Baghdad, providing security escorts, and conducted building and area searches. Our unit received a Valorous Unit Citation for exemplary service on duty. I received an Army Commendation Medal for services rendered and received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained during my tour. I also receive another Purple Heart after my return from duty from long term injuries received for my tour of duty. I also received a Combat Action Badge from my time in Iraq. Hurricane Katrina relief duty August 2005: I received an Army Commendation Medal for services rendered in New Orleans.
