· Perform postoperative care including suture/staple removal, cast application/removal, and assist with fracture reduction and pin removal under the direct supervision of surgeons and PAs. · Conduct temporary limited X-Ray imaging for upper extremities, managing patient charts and preparing examination rooms. · Shadowed PA in surgical and clinical settings for two weeks to observe procedures and patient interactions.
· Managed preoperative preparations including chart prepping, patient intake, and documentation for procedures such as aspirations, injections, casting, suturing, and splinting. · Supported one to two doctors or PAs daily, enhancing patient care through efficient process management.
· Managed patient communications and coordinated office operations, utilizing EPIC and ATHENA EMR systems for detailed patient charting in a sports medicine setting. · Assisted with ultrasound-guided injections, maintaining high efficiency in handling patient volumes and procedural support.
· Conducted a comprehensive autism awareness study in Aruba, including development and execution of a public survey and data analysis. · Collaborated with Aruba’s Prime Minister and Council of Ministers to propose autism-friendly policy amendments. · Designed and led an autism awareness workshop for leading businesses and educational institutions, and organized support for a 5k Autism Awareness run.
