The Business & Networking Club was founded to provide the hardworking and talented students of Boise State the resources and exposure they needed to achieve their professional goals. We hosted Networking & Panelist events, Guest Speakers, and Workshops while maintaining a partnership with the COBE career center. I did a poor job of delegating work and spreading my vision to our executive team, and eventually had circumstances that pulled me any from the club. I still see the opportunity for this type of organization within COBE. Unfortunately, it was not for me to achieve.
Worked with the Corporate Cash team to help find sales opportunities and improve their data and resources. Near the end of my internship, I started training in hopes to fill a BDR role upon graduation, but lacked passion for the product and decided to part ways. I also had a rare opportunity to help conduct interviews for a sales intern position and found an interest in the recruiting side of the business.
Was nominated by my Freshman Communications class to the present in the next round and qualified to be a finalist. Using a microphone for the first time to speak in front of 400 people (extra credit given for attendance) was the experience I needed. I was scared, don't remember all that I said, spoke quickly and skipped a few parts, but I did it and still finished top 5 in the course. Great experience for an 19-year-old kid.
