As a Human Biology student at the University of Southern California, I focus on fostering STEM education and strengthening analytical reasoning. Supported administrative operations in a private medical practice serving the South Bronx. Coordinated the processing and submission of laboratory orders to external labs (e.g., Quest Diagnostics) and managed associated documentation. Gained experience with OB/GYN laboratory and ICD coding for insurance, and assisted with insurance billing and claims processing. Developed skills in healthcare operations and medical documentation.
In South American yerba mate culture, a cebador (seb-a-door), refers to the person who shares a yerba mate gourd, generally in a circle, with friends and family. Engaging with a company that values sustainability and sharing products at school events.
Organic Chemistry Led hour long instruction sessions three times a week and created worksheets aligned with lecture material. Coordinated with my CO-SI leader to hold midterm and final exam reviews and instructed lecture discussions every other week.
General Chemistry Supplemental Instruction Leaders work 15 hours/week to create worksheets and hold triweekly, hourlong reviews sessions. We collaborate to create exam review sheets and hold 2 hour long review sessions four the four midterms as well as the final each semester. Serving as an SI leader is a great opportunity to develop your leadership and communication skills as well as sharpen my knowledge in the subjects I are reviewing in your sessions. Becoming a part of a strong preprofessional community that values bolstering the success of the people around you.
