My work with Professor Timothy F. Jamison spanned two distinct areas of research: total synthesis of marine ladder polyether natural products utilizing endo-selective epoxide-opening cascades and the development of nickel-catalyzed C–C bond-forming reactions.
Dissertation Title: “Analysis of the Factors that Govern Stereoselectivity in the Reactions of Oxocarbenium Ion Intermediates: The Role of Neighboring-Group Participation and the Correlation between Nucleophile Strength and Stereoselectivity” with Professor Keith A. Woerpel
My research in the laboratory of Professor Rick Herrick focused on the synthesis of bioorganometallic complexes bearing amino ester ligands for applications in diagnostic imaging.
