Developed customer-facing software that runs on Echo Show devices and first- and third-party tablets. • Addressed operational issues with remote teams on Shortcuts Panel functionality on first-party Amazon Fire tablets • Implemented the user-facing aspect for a physical snooze feature, metrics capture, and feature toggle on the Echo Show 5 • Designed and refactored the front-end architecture to support location-based reminders in addition to supporting time-based reminders • Addressed a high customer-impacting issue that prevented customer alarms from ringing, leading to improved database management and access • Customized styles and layouts of alarms, timers, and reminders for a consistent experience across Echo Show devices and tablets • Provide guidance for new hires and away teams doing feature work within our code base
Created data presentation and visualization tools for associates in warehouses as a member of the Mobile Team. • Developed UI and backend layers to support problem solving and equipment visualization in warehouses • Modified design layouts and implemented visual cues in user-facing applications to ease associate guesswork that produced higher pick and stow rates (faster product in and out of the warehouse) • Produced custom features for our warehouse visualization app to enable fast and efficient task completion for warehouse associates
Developed front- and back-end services for pre-press publishing. • Converted browser application from Flash/Actionscript to HTML/JavaScript and Twitter Bootstrap for layout and styling • Pushed for a ground-up rework of moving our desktop application to a cloud services platform instead of adapting an outdated project (including a rework of both server and client aspects) with a working prototype in a small amount of time • Configured deployment to Amazon Web Services of various services including Apache, Node.js, Socket.IO, HAProxy, and Ruby on Rails for deployment to Amazon Web Services • Created browser and desktop applications in Adobe Flex/AIR for sending files to a pre-press processing service
Maintained and developed web applications in the Finance & Administration Systems & Technology department. • Gathered requirements from RIT Housing Operations to generate use cases for an online housing renewal/roommate agreement application to completely replace the paper system • Explored Adobe Flex 1.5 and AIR 1.0 for a potential new job board system • Corrected UI and service bugs in RIT's online ticketing system and housing applications
