In 2009 I followed Sir Edmund Hilliary's footsteps from the foothills of Nepal all the way to the highest peak on earth - Mount Everest. As I sat in the Shadow of the top of the earth I reflected on the journey that brought me there. A month prior, I sat deflated, beat down and exhausted just 200m from our first nights "accommodation", I questioned whether this was a wise adventure, I wasn't prepared for this - I was an office dweller not a mountain goat. I thought about quitting. But despite the winds, the cold, the altitude sickness, mental and physical fatigue, and trail mix overdose, I kept going, Why? Because I’m that person. Once I say I’ll do something, I make it happen. Now, I put that perseverance to work as the Sales and Product Manager at Haltech Engine Management Systems. I don’t have to climb any mountains in this role…but I do occasionally have to move them. I’m well-versed in negotiations, product planning and development, relationship management, operations, strategy, logistics coordination and scheduling. I have held operational and management roles in both Australia and the USA. I have degree in Engineering (Mechanical) and a Masters degree in Business Administration, but more importantly I have a down to earth willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. If you’re interested in grabbing coffee and talking shop (or to hear how a Yak almost threw me off a mountain at 27K feet), please send an email my way.
As Brand Manager and Product Manager I am responsible for the all aspects of product planning and execution. This includes: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. I also ensure that any new product development supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. This role is client facing, I actively engage external stakeholders to gain market opinion and feedback, run beta test pilot programs of new products and define the product marketing strategy and roadmaps.
