      Working within the Data and Analytics team of O2 Motion, responsible for the development and management of O2's Smart Cities platform and the growing product suite that is being built upon it. Leveraging telco and IoT data from both first and third parties, the role is about using technology in combination with advanced data analytics to provide actionable insights that can transform historic and real-time decision making across a range of customer segments including transport, retail, public sector, media and healthcare. Managing internal and external teams, developing and communicating the strategic vision for the platform and products is key to ensuring all stakeholders understand their part in building out successful new lines of revenue within O2. Teams are working in agile scrum environments, and this allows them to build and iterate in shorter development windows against the priorities set - key to enabling us to deliver disruptive solutions to clients faster and more efficiently. Key achievements within this role (to date) include- - Successful development, management and delivery of the O2 Smart Cities Platform – now in it’s third iteration; a complex project involving a multitude of both technical, service and commercial business stakeholders across O2 and external partners. - Development of O2's first real-time travel insights product using the new platform, leveraging anonymised and aggregated mobile network data events from O2 customers to simulate traffic flow and understand traveller profiles – exceeding annual customer growth and revenue targets. - Driven back-to-back years of highly profitable revenue growth, including O2 Motion’s largest ever customer contract in 2020 – strategically led this one-off innovation project into a suite of new repeatable and scalable revenue generating products for the public sector.

      Working within the Big Data and Insights Team across Telefonica’s UK portfolio of businesses, namely Weve and O2, focused on creating and delivering unique telco-based mobile solutions for advertising and enterprise clients. Working closely with local and global teams within Telefonica across several business units including Axonix and Statiq. Responsible for product development and management, commercial and go to market strategy, operational best practice and adoption, sales training and enablement, business development and partnership opportunities. Key achievements within this role include: - Took ownership of successfully integrating Statiq targeting and reporting capabilities into Weve product offerings. - Owned roadmap and subsequent testing of a third party data partner whom O2 had previously invested heavily in, saving the business £240k/year (my testing uncovered significant weakness which led to a no-go decision). - Developed, managed and launched a GPS location verification product (Weve Locate) to disrupt location marketing market and deliver greater transparency/reduce wastage due to inaccurate GPS signals (industry challenge).

Reporting into the AOL International organization, with indirect reporting lines into the global AOL business based in New York/Baltimore. Responsible for monetization strategy, client engagement, best practice and adoption, product development, sales enablement, business development and partnership opportunities. Alongside this, I am the external evangelist for AOL’s mobile offering within the mobile advertising community. Key achievements within this role include: - Launched several new mobile advertising products, one of which was picked up by the trade press for it’s innovative approach. - Spoke at several external events, including an AdWeek 2015 Panel in front of 200+ industry professionals and an IAB cross-screen conference.

      UK Lead for Microsoft’s Audience display advertising product, focused on delivering market leading solutions to clients via our Sales team. Reporting into the UK Advertising & Online (A&O) division, with indirect reporting lines into the global Microsoft Advertising Business Group based in Seattle. Responsible for the development, management and monetisation of all existing and new Audience products within the UK. These include Profile Targeting, Behavioural Targeting, Re-Messaging and Custom Database Targeting, as well as managing all of the UK third party data relationships. Key achievements within this role include: - Steered the UK Audience business to exceed budget by over 32% in FY14, doubling the monthly revenues since taking ownership of the business area. - In partnership with another colleague in the UK, devised a brand new Audience product which was piloted and championed by a Microsoft CVP.

      Took ownership of two Audience display advertising products, Behavioural Targeting and Profile Targeting, whilst maintaining several key accounts for the Microsoft Media Network. This involved working on local go to market strategy for new innovations within these products, as well as defining monetisation policies and enabling the sales team to sell these products. Key achievements within this role include: - Launch of new internal framework to surface feedback from sales and ensure our internal first party data was being monetised to best effect. - Established global best practise for the maintenance and management of our Behavioural Targeting segment.

    • Media Analyst Lead - Microsoft Media Network

      UK Lead for analysis and monetisation of third party inventory within the Microsoft Media Network. Responsible for ensuring profitability and performance across third party inventory bought in to supplement Microsoft's owned and operated inventory, as well as managing several key third party accounts. Worked closely with both sales and account management teams to ensure the evangelism and purchase of premium, high performing and brand safe inventory. Key achievements within this role include: - Steered the UK Performance business to a 20% YoY increase in profitability, based on third party inventory purchasing strategy. - Collaborated with immediate team to land Microsoft's first brand safety partnerships with Project Sunblock, ensuring accountability with both advertisers and publishers alike.

This included weekly and monthly sales out reporting to the Directors of the business, key account reporting to external partners, as well as commission and sales reporting to the 70+ strong sales force (to which I was the point of contact). Gained valuable experience in reporting to different levels in the business, from field sales to Managing Director level. Key achievements within this role include: - Inheriting inaccurate and inefficient processes, overhauled ALL processes and reporting which resulted in delivery of 100% accurate data and a reduction in monthly reporting time from three weeks to two days. - Through the above initiative, saved the company money on commission incorrectly paid and reduced the turnover rate with field sales who had become disillusioned with the old system.
