I am an experienced Executive Director; Chartered Engineer and I have an Executive MBA from Henley Business School. My principal areas of interest include Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Leadership, Business Development, People Development and Sustainability. Professionally, I have the capability and experience to lead companies, head up functional roles and work in complex multi-national businesses. I am experienced in leading culturally diverse multi-functional international teams (both internal and external) of people in various stages of career development. I am passionate about creating environments for organisations to thrive, driving stable financial performance and ensuring we leave a sustainable legacy. My projects have given me the opportunity to work in Europe, Asia and Australia. As a Consultant, I have operated across multiple sectors including alternate energy (EVC, hydrogen and solar), industrial, heritage & arts, rail, commercial, development and downstream oil & gas. My current role as Head of London and Europe project and programme management is strategically focused on organically growing the RLB private and public sectors across multiple industries.
SECBE is a not for profit organisation which aims to inspire the construction industry to deliver better infrastructure and buildings in a more collaborative and cost-effective way. SECBE’s mission is to drive positive change through the built environment sector – using core values of collaboration, innovation, and inspiration to secure adequate investment and action. I support the organisation as a Non-Executive Director.
The role is strategically focused on organically growing the Consulting business in both the private and public sectors across multiple industries. The business delivers project management, programme management, commercial management and sustainability services. Within the role I jointly work on the Executive Construction Leadership team which oversees the combined Construction and Consulting companies. In addition to managing Consulting, I lead the Sustainability function across Europe. This role supports the organisation in its bold ambitions to target Absolute Zero Carbon emissions by 2040 and importantly drive positive Social Value outcomes in everything it does.
As a statutory Board Director for Artelia UK I was responsible for managing a sector of circa 60 people and sat on the 5 person Board. At the time the company had a total of staff level of circa 140 people which was part of a larger Group organisation. Some of the roles I fulfilled included: • Leading multiple business units by setting an implementing business development pipeline strategies • Developing and executing inorganic growth activities • Accountability for P&L performance and budgeting • Driving change management • Reporting to the International Board in France • Creating new value streams for the business both in the UK and offshore • Ensuring the company complies with a high level of ethical standards • Managing key stakeholder relationships through strong communication • Managing human capital and developing fast growing teams • Risk Management
