Stenungsbaden Yacht Club was the first proper sailing conference facility with international standards in Sweden. Together with the owner Thomas Wallin, Mats Pettersson rebuilt the Kookaburra Restaurant with much success. He transformed it into a top quality restaurant and nightclub with recurrently arranged guest appearances from the Swedish chef elite.
In the Swedish ski resort Åre, Mats Pettersson and his partner Kenneth Andersson, opened one of the most characteristic restaurants ever seen, Wärdshuset Galna Wildsvinet. With an open kitchen and the successful mixture of Icelandic and Cajun it conveyed the feeling of ancient Rom. Well known for the recurrently arranged evening events and hot after-parties. During summertime, Mats Pettersson and his partner simultaneously ran one of Sweden’s oldest golf restaurants with over 500 lunch guests per day, Båstad Golf Restaurant. They increased the arranged evening events and organized a handful much appreciated after-parties at the restaurant.
