Filago went bankrupt in 2019. At the time the company had 1000-1200 housing units under development. As one of the first employees in this start up company in 2014 I had a very steep learning curve from my mid twenties in Filago/Aktivhus. Some highlights from this companys journey includes: - 400+ media coverings, including a four episodes documentary on NRK (Norwegian national tv-chanel) - Real Estate concept «eco-village» gained house prices way above the local market. - Established community farming and other community facilities and activities to create a living nabourhood in line with the concept. - 50 municipality majors and advisors (rådmenn) visited the first project in Hurdal to learn from the success in getting people to move from the big cities to this «outpost» - Development of the «Aktivhus» - a house with natural materials, diffusion open walls for healty indoors climate, natural ventilation and very low co2 foot print - Extremely fast element building process under development. Sucessfully completed houses on site in 8-12 weeks. - Several rounds of successful funding - several failures and challenging situations. The list could go on…
Responsible for tripple bottom line residential development projects from A-Z developing eco-villages from concept to 100+ turnkey homes. Multi-stakeholder cross sector projects. Also contined project management of the Aktivhus deliveries, managing a multi-discipline internal/external team to develop the industrial value chain (suppliers in Denmark, Norway, Czech republic, Germany, Latvia and Estonia) capable of delivering element houses for the fast growing project portoflio - while supplying houses for the ongoing project in Hurdal and a project in Kirkenes. The team handled rapidly increasing aftermarked avtivities as well, as 64 houses was handed over to customers during this periode, including some major complaint processes towards early suppliers. High degree of innovation in e.g. element design and production (unique qualities/high speed) and smart house technology (uncommon at the time), made this a phase with steap learning curve for the organization and me personally.
Aktivhus is a part of Filago. The scope of the project I lead is to design and deliver "turnkey" houses for the Eco-Village in Hurdal, Norway. It entails managing the contracts towards three house suppliers, one in the Czech Republic, one in Latvia and one in Germany as well as leading the great internal project team who handles design/engineering, quality control, HSE, site management, procurement and customer relations.
