About

I am a motivated and enthusiastic university student eager to discover the passion and advocacy I can provide to the real world setting. I am currently in my third and final year at Notre Dame studying Health promotion with special interests quickly becoming mental health and disability support work and advocacy. During my time at Notre Dame I have been given the opportunity to gain real world knowledge through practicum placements. headspace Fremantle. Early intervention mental health foundation for indviduals aged 12-25. I shadowed the community engagement officer, I saw first hand the societal struggles and expectations placed about young people today. I went to schools, drop in centres and events for those in the foster care system. At these locations I provided you people with knowledge about the benefit of mental health support and simple early prevention methods to implement to increase mental health. Constable Care Foundation. Harm prevention education for children and young people. Here I support children and young people at major events around Perth. I attend in the form of the Lost Child support system. Working with WA police to help lost and found children locate their parents and safely back into the care of them. I also perform in mascot appearances. Constable Care and Constable Claire walk around events encouraging children to come up, take photos and have stickers - promoting that police officers are not to be feared but are friendly people there to protect you and keep you safe. Royal Life Saving Society. Water safety and alcohol related drowning. I volunteered at the 2024 Dunsbrough leavers promoting the 'Be a Mermate' Campaign where we encouraged newly graduated year 12 students to look after their friends around water especially if people are under the influence of alcohol.
