My name is Matias. I was born in Chile, however, I was raised extensively abroad across Germany, Denmark, Austria, and more recently, Houston. During my first steps into the professional design world, I got to live in New York City. Said experiences enabled me to obtain a broad and global perspective, in addition to multiple language proficiencies. Obtaining my Bachelor and Master of Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts, I set out for new horizons, which lead me towards NYC. Working at WHY Architects in an entry-level position. And followed by subsequent remote design work, at a Long Island based, boutique design firm. Designing for the niche high-end sector of the equestrian world. Outside my professional and academic experiences, art and design have played a huge role in shaping me as a person, and my worldview.
Creating design proposals, 3D model and renderings, as well as, related plan drawings for a residential project in Manhattan. As well as, proposal for a new planting palette.
Supporting ongoing project, by 3D modelling, and rendering for client facing presentation.
Competition design work
Organization, scheduling, tracking finances, and being a point of contact representing the interest of the higher-ups for the different involved parties working at the organization.
Support in the conceptual design phase for a event landscape project, as well as planting and planter choice for the realized design. In close collaboration and vision of supervisor.
