About

I am a Non-Executive Director and board advisor building a portfolio across energy, infrastructure, real estate and large-scale development. Over 30 years, I have led governance, risk, compliance and legal functions at the board level, across nearly two decades at GE Power, three years at NEOM, advisory mandates with Dentons Nextlaw, and earlier roles at private law firms in Canada and Eastern Europe, operating at a USD 40bn to USD 60bn scale. I focus on helping boards navigate uncertainty, allocate capital effectively and implement governance that supports delivery rather than slows it down. My experience combines governance, risk and legal judgement with a strong commercial perspective, developed across major transactions, post-acquisition integration and multi-jurisdictional operations in highly regulated environments. My governance work spans delegation of authority design, board and committee reporting, approval frameworks, compliance programme leadership, enterprise risk oversight, and multi-jurisdictional investigations closed without regulatory sanction. I have built and led teams across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, working fluently in six languages and across diverse regulatory, cultural, and institutional settings, bringing governance depth and cross-cultural fluency to boards operating in complex international environments. I hold board education qualifications from the Financial Times (Board Director Diploma, 2026), Harvard Business School and IESE (Value Creation Through Effective Boards, 2025), and IESE and WHU Otto Beisheim School (High-Performance Board Member, 2024). I am admitted to the Bar in England and Wales (Middle Temple), Québec (inactive), Spain, Greece, and am a licensed sole professional in Dubai (inactive). I hold a UAE Golden Visa, and am based in Barcelona, with regular international availability. I am focused on building a Non-Executive Director portfolio and selectively take on interim or fractional Chief Legal, General Counsel, or Chief Governance, Risk and Compliance mandates as a bridge. I welcome conversations with chairs, nomination committees and board search professionals.
