Finance is my passion. I have grown up through the Finance Functions in the Professional Services Industry and enjoyed various roles and various geographies. That gives me a pretty broad-band experience. It's the foundation for serving as a business partner and strategic advisor to company executives.
I am proud to lead EY‘s global Controlling function in which I provide comprehensive Finance services to EY’s global entities and its governance bodies incl. EY’s global C-suite. The services cover strategic and operational advice and management of accounting and statutory closes as well as budgets of global entities and functions. Driving EY’s Finance Transformation globally and making us fit for future is my passion.
I enjoy serving as a business partner and strategic advisor to the Area Leadership team, providing critical thinking on area strategic direction, operating performance and financial results. On behalf of Area Leadership and Global Finance I coordinate Finance related processes - with strong focus around Analytics, Planning/Budgeting, Closing - across EMEIA which involves strong collaboration with all Regions in the Area and Global Finance and Finance support structures.
With the start of the EMEIA area at EY in 2009 the GSA Region was founded for which I assumed the CFO role. In that role I was trusted business advisor to the Region Managing Partner in all Finance related aspects and regular participant of the Regional Leadership Team meetings. The CFO role in a new Region encompassed - next to normal operations - cross-border integration and harmonization of processes including introduction of Shared Services/Off-Shoring particularly for accounting. In parallel I enjoyed participation in various global Finance Transformation-led projects, e.g. global Planning & Budgeting redesign, global Organizational Design and re-design of balance sheet structure.
I started my professional carreer with Arthur Andersen where I gained nine years very diverse experience in Finance starting in local Planning Budgeting & Finance Analytics (PBFA) and moving to Prague in 1998 for 2 1/2 years running Finance and Administration for Czech and Slovak Republic, Hungry, Croatia and Austria. After return to Germany coordinating PBFA key processes in EMEIA next to leading Controlling function and team in Nordics.
