Argued motions in court, including subpoena of witness's, direct examination of witness's, cross examination of defense witness's, closing argument.
Conducting legal research & writing motions on admissibilty of confession made while under possible inlfuence of narcotics, and whether defendant could compel a line-up identification. Argued line-up identification motion in court. Research and memo regarding proper interrogation techniques, and when otherwise acceptable techniques may become coercive. Participated in Preliminary Hearing on a robbery; direct examination of investigating detective.
Trial preperation including written trial briefs, preparing direct examination scripts, investigation of issues, legal research, interveiwing witnesses. Sat in multiple DUI trials as second chair, and assisted Deputy city Attorney during all phases of trial.
