20+ years international sales and marketing experience in consumer products markets, particularly sporting goods focusing on: Strategic planning - International Sales management - Marketing management - Brand management - Product management Key Activities: -> Coordinate and motivate front line managers, assign tasks and targets, review performance and achievements -> Manage administrative, fiscal and legal obligations coordinating external agencies (consultants, lawyers, headhunters, ….) -> Organize and handle Board meeting and manage reporting system on a weekly/monthly basis. -> Define and execute 3-5 years business plan and provide input for strategic planning -> Lead and coordinate the development and execution of the Business Unit’s short and long-term business plan and objectives. -> Research and open new markets, set up and train sales force, organize customer care and customer service, maintain and expand business relationship with distributors and key accounts, set targets, analyse sales -> Create new product briefs (product positioning, target consumer, competitive analysis, key features/benefit, pricing/costing strategy) and provide input to create product plans. -> Manage product line margins to ensure financial targets are met. Establish and maintain product margin goals for the business unit to ensure profitability and growth. Key Responsibilities: -> Member of the Board and liaise with Shareholder (private equity) -> Responsible for managing multiple organizations within a Group of Companies -> Responsible for the strategic direction and execution of global strategic plan -> Responsible for defining, executing and implementing sales & marketing plan, achieving margins, managing product mix -> Organize, support, motivate and manage sales organization (direct sales team, agents, distributors) -> Co-responsible for establishing and executing on global product line strategies Skills and Qualifications -> Strong organization, negotiation and communication skills; -> Very detailed oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines; -> Ability to manage people and support a team atmosphere; -> Ability to work independently, to plan and prioritizes well; -> Knowledge and Experience in managing sales organization and running a distribution network; -> Strategic and creative thinker with ability to take initiative; -> Strong knowledge, contacts and experience in sports particularly in cycling and outdoor; -> Passion for innovative product/design and action/sports lifestyle trends;
