Journalistic background with an expertise as Corporate culture, external relations, corporate communication, public affairs executive and special projects director, mainly in new technology, media, culture, education and publishing sectors; extended experience in team work, start-up, fundraising, public/private relations and diplomatic negotiations. Massimiliano Tarantino joined Feltrinelli Group (in the role of Director of Communication and Public Affairs department, Director of the start up Feltrinelli Education and as Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Director) from Telecom Italia Group where he acted as Corporate Communication Director, External Relations manager and senior advisor to the executive leadership. Prior to this Massimiliano was head of Telecom Progetto Italia press office and he spent several years as Salvatore Settis spokeperson and Chief Communication officer at the Normale di Pisa, where he started as ghostwriting and strategic communication advisor both for the top management and the University. He also acted as senior advisor to the leadership of Expo Milano 2015, as Laboratorio Expo Director, where he negotiated with the Italian Government, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Bureaun des Expositions (BIE) producing the 2015 Milan Charter. Massimiliano, a law graduate from Trieste Law School in 2001 and a professional journalist since 1998, joined for a decade RAI and GEDI group as a journalist specialized in culture and education; he joined Udine, Pisa, Parma and Milano Cattolica Universities as communication techniques professor and he received Communicator of the year award in 2015 and in 2013 the national prize Culture plus Business. He is a cofounder of Public History Master degree with the University of Milan and of Sustainable development Jobs Master degree with the University of Milan Bicocca. Massimiliano is board member of Scuola Holden, Feltrinelli Education, Adecco Foundation, International association of labour history institutions, Italian association of cultural institutions and he is also member of the honorary committee of the Center for american study in Rome.
