About

Geologist with over 18 years of international experience in the oil & gas industry from both exploration and production. I have a solid background in structural geology and tectonics acquired during three years of post-graduate studies and research. Since 2011, I have been working as a specialist in structural analysis of hydrocarbon basins in a wide range of complex tectonic settings worldwide, including the Caribbean region, the Brazilian margin, and the Southeast Asia region, among others. The main tasks of my work consist of seismic interpretation, defining the structural style and kinematic reconstructions with the aim of contributing to the evaluation of new areas and generation of exploration prospects. Earlier in my career, I worked on fracture studies and DFN modeling to characterize naturally fractured reservoirs for development projects in the sub-Andean region of Argentina. In recent years, I have worked on unconventional shales, developing new methods to evaluate the risk of fault reactivation associated with hydraulic stimulations in the USA. I have also gained experience in fault seal analysis and projects related to carbon capture and storage (CCS) in regions such as the Gulf of Mexico and Indonesia. I am author and coauthor of several publications available in the Geological Society of London Special Publications, Marine and Petroleum Geology and Journal of Structural Geology.
