Reporting to the CEO, I have responsibility for the Company Operations, including Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, EHS, Manufacturing Science and Development, Supply Chain and Logistics for almost 3,000 employees. Manufacturing network consists of 7 sites across United States, Canada and Europe, with direct responsibility of end-to-end production of +20 products authorized and distributed to over 70 countries, including US and China. In this role I have managed the merger of two large companies part now of Kedrion, delivering significant synergies and creating new operating and governance mechanisms, to drive alignment and improvements in complex and challenging multinational environments. In the meanwhile, I have managed significant capital investments aimed to increase capacity, compliance and sustainability.
Responsibility of the Italian Takeda plants, located in Rieti and Pisa (more than 500 employees). Both plants are involved in the production of plasma-derived drugs: Rieti plant is dedicated to the production of intermediates, such as albumin, gammaglobulin and coagulation factors and it is also an FDA approved site; while Pisa plant is a finishing site for production of sterile albumin.
Responsibility of the Italian Shire plants, located in Rieti and Pisa (more than 500 employees). Both plants are involved in the production of plasma-derived drugs: Rieti plant is dedicated to the production of intermediates, such as albumin, gammaglobulin and coagulation factors and it is also an FDA approved site; while Pisa plant is a finishing site for production of sterile albumin. Recently I also led ad interim another large facility located in Atlanta area (Georgia), during the qualification, conformance lots production and FDA approval period.

Both plants are involved in the production of plasma derivatives: Rieti plant is dedicated to the production of intermediates, such as albumin, gammaglobulin and coagulation factors and it is also an FDA approved site; while Pisa plant is a finishing site for production of sterile albumin.
I have full responsibility of the Business Unit (300 employees) dedicated to the production of finished drugs, mainly penicillin, cephalosporin and oncological products (sterile and oral) exported to 70 countries, including USA and Japan. Responsibilities entail: P&L, manufacturing, maintenance, capital projects, products and process improvements and development, product transfer, environment, heath and safety.
