I provide technical expertise to IT teams at several hospitals and help them manage and execute EMR improvement projects. I do occasional development projects and am a member of our procedures/preference card and Green Healthcare groups. On the preference card group I spearheaded a project to redesign our data conversion code to simplify it for future development. I'm also involved with technical training through teaching a monthly technical skills class and co-lead a weekly group troubleshooting session. To pursue some long-standing interests, I am looking to move into the environmental sciences. My primary interests include water scarcity and supply issues, particular in the American West, and non-SOV transportation systems. I am interested in speaking to people about opportunities, career paths, and the field in general. Geographically I am mobile but looking to relocate to the Rocky Mountain region or the West Coast. Specialties: Epic OpTime/Data Courier/Anesthesia, medical software, MS Excel, Crystal Reports, Adobe Photoshop, Japanese, Java, photography, outdoor skills, outdoor leadership, Wilderness First Aid
Certified in OpTime, Anesthesia, Radiant, and Data Courier. Member of the procedures/preference card import and Green Healthcare groups. I currently work with 6 live customers around the country, ranging from 1 hospital to systems of 20+ hospitals, public, and Catholic organizations. Over the past decade I've been technical advisor to many dozens of preference card imports for organizations across the country. I also led the project to overhaul the program we use to convert legacy card data to Epic. As a Green Healthcare group member, I aim to bring my environmental values to work and help organizations improve their footprints. I played a key role in a decade-long process that finally brought non-dairy milk to campus in 2022.
I teach students strategies to maximize their SAT scores to give them the best shot at getting into the colleges of their choice.
